WHO WE ARE
Write Bloody North is the only Canadian publisher entirely focused on publishing and advancing poets who can craft for the page and crush on the stage. We publish groundbreaking authors and legends of spoken word to create innovative, fresh poetry books.
We are an independent imprint of the trail-blazing Write Bloody Publishing (California) and share in their vision of fostering a thriving poetry ecosystem where poets can make a living, reach larger audiences and create beautiful books.

We believe poetry is the anti-slop we are aching for.
We believe poetry thrives outside the classroom, beyond the university, somewhere between your local dive bar and your favourite arm chair. We want to put a dog-eared book in your bathroom, one in your lunch box and 5 more on your wish list.

WHAT WE DO
Since 2018 we have worked with some of Canada's most celebrated spoken word artists to create books that look and feel as great as they sound! Our authors have been Poet Laureates, slam poetry champions, members of the Order of Canada and literal African Royalty. Write Bloody North authors deliver every time, be it on stage or in print. They are going to make you feel things! BIG THINGS! They are going to make think things! BIG THINGS! They are going to make you reconsider what you thought poetry was when you finished that section in high school english class.
